I'm a Canadian who has been living in the UK for 30 years. Covid has extended my sabbatical, and I have decided to remain here in very safe Beautiful BC.
I am seeking a live-in post;
looking for a position in the Greater Vancouver area, and happy to consider the Fraser Valley, Bowen Island or Squamish.

Caring for Young & Old
I have recently been working in a 4 generation home, caring for the 87 year old great-grandmother who is bedridden after a catastophic stroke, as well as working with her 3 great grandchildren, ages 13, 9 and 5.
I helped with the home schooling and had a principal role as Behavioural Interventionist for the 5 year old with ASD & ADHD.
My 21 years experience as a university lecturer, both undergraduate and postgraduate, has been a tremendous asset in taking on the role of nanny/tutor.
Housekeeper Extraordinairre
My current role has been as a Housekeeper/Caregiver for a couple in their 80's. My principle role is to support him by managing all the household chores, shopping and cooking, as well supporting her with her 5th stage Parkinson's needs.
My main task here has been to begin preparing for the couple to downsize from 5000 sq feet - There has been a lot of closet clearing and the paring down of the stuff of 60 years of life together.
As a de-clutterer I can give Marie Kondo a run for her money!

I look forward to hearing from you, and to have the opportunity for us to explore if I might be a good fit for your family.
I am not licensed or registered to practice Chinese medicine here in Canada, only in the UK. As with Western medicine, each country has it's own board-exam licensing systems.
I have decided to remain here in safe and sane BC for the duration of the Covid pandemic; thus my decision to turn my extensive healthcare experience towards Caregiving.
I have practised Chinese medicine for 25 years, always from within a western medical office.
I have a thorough background in physiology and anatomy and significant familiarity with western pharmacology.
My specialist subject is the interplay between digestive, reproductive and adrenal hormones.
I have campaigned for integrated/functional medicine throughout my career; in practice, as a university lecturer and as an international speaker.
My whole career has been steeped in caring. I have a wide experience, from gynaecology & fertility to obstetrics, 30 years as a doula, TCM paediatric certification, plus my long experience of working with the elderly.
