This book is a very sexy biology lesson. It not only tackles the sticky, tricky uncomfortable emotions that can knot a couple into a tangle of sexual politics, but it also helps couples see HOW stress hormones can block our sexual and reproductive cascades, and offers ways to positively manage that stress. This book teaches couples how to switch hormonal cascades back into sexuality and reproduction, and put the Fizz back into lovemaking.
"Frank, witty, and underpinned by years of integrative medical experience, the Fertile Fizz provides an arousing insight into the science and sensuality behind conception.
White’s wisdom is simultaneously candid and comforting, providing practical guidance through the difficult problems faced by those trying to conceive.
Gently risque and often humourous, Jani helps give unpressured direction out of the doldrums of scheduled sex."
Fertile Fizz is the first book in a series of 5, written for the general public.
Each book is written with the intention to help people to find their own resonance of sexuality, at whichever stage of their lives they may be in.
This series offers clear and simple understanding of how hormones work, and explains why hormonal balance is so important to overall well being, within the context of these specific gender and life phases:
'Birth-Fit Fizz' Preparing for a vibrant Pregnancy, Birth & Recovery; building the reserves for a return to dynamic sexuality in the context of having infants and toddlers.
'Flashy Fizz' Sexy Menopause; stepping into our maturity with power and potent sexual flow.
'Spunky Fizz' Men's Sexual Health; throughout all ages - particularly considering erectile dysfunction and prostate problems.
'Spotty (Zitty) Fizz Teenage Angst & Issues of Gender and Sexuality; this book is focussed on helping teenagers understand their complex hormonal interplay, addressing anxiety and depression, and helping young people make well informed decisions about their sexual choices, on their own terms. Spotty Fizz is packed with advice about how to balance choices in a way that can bring peace of mind, and teaches young people how to future-proof their fertility.
The 'Fizz' series is about charging up our hormonal balance into a place that allows us the full rein to be our best selves.
I love narrative, but I am not a novelist. A storyteller, yes, but mainly, I'm an essayist.
My skill with words is the capacity to lay out a series of thoughts and entice the reader to consider a viewpoint.
My current project is a memoir; a deeply felt exploration of the ways that secrets impact a family, and the many ways that trauma invades our lives, on so many levels, throughout generations.
As the regular Health & Wellbeing feature writer for Baby Buzz, I penned many articles about Pregnancy, Childbirth and Recovery.
Drawing on my 20+ years experience as an Obstetric acupuncturist, specialist high risk pregnancy and bereavement, and as a doula and antenatal teacher, I tackled many of the issues that have turned birthing into a fearful and arduous process.
I always strive to help parents to be be well informed to make the best decisions for their own circumstances, to turn the tide and generate better birth experiences.
I graduated from college into the first flush of these new-fangled things called websites.
My first website was on one of the earliest incarnations of a CMS - Content Management System. Since then I have worked with many professional site builders, and along the way learned enough to easily create my own sites using CMS.
I have a valuable skill set in respect of building structure and flow (ever my favourite thing to do!) and I enjoy the creativity of making a site that tells a story.
Over the years I have created 18 sites, for the various businesses and projects I've been involved with.
